Lace & Letters is a premier Preservation Studio dedicated to the "Handwritten Heart". In a saturated market of digital templates and disposable wedding stationery, the brand stands as a defiant advocate for the Tangible Archive. The goal was to craft a visual identity that makes clients feel they aren't just buying paper, but commissioning a permanent piece of their own history.

Challenge

The wedding and stationery sector is often flooded with "disposable" digital-first options, creating a disconnect for clients seeking something with heirloom potential. The challenge was to position Lace & Letters as an "Established" entity that feels both historical and current. We needed to design an identity that could support high-end framing services and archival products without feeling overly traditional or unapproachable.

Solutions

We developed an identity cantered on "Luxury Hospitality" and the "Handwritten Heart," treating the brand as a vault for precious memories.

The Symbolic Logic: We created a comprehensive logo suite featuring the Alize typeface, which utilizes high-stroke contrast to signal engraved quality. A double-bordered oval submark acts as a "Seal of Authenticity," mimicking a vintage locket or family crest to suggest the brand itself is an heirloom.

The Alchemy of Colour: We curated a grounding palette led by Deep Heirloom Burgundy to represent integrity and passion. This is balanced by Misty Blue for a calming contrast, Antique Lace Cream to evoke tactile aged paper, and Artisan Gold to signify a premium luxury experience.

The Authority of Typography: We paired the ornate, calligraphic Alize font for headers with the geometric Montserrat for subheadings and body copy. This combination ensures the brand feels accessible and professional while carrying the weight of artisanal heritage.

Visual Texture & Continuity: We designed a classic stripe pattern as a nod to traditional French ateliers and luxury packaging. Used on box interiors and tissue paper, it provides a "surprise and delight" unboxing moment that reinforces the brand’s commitment to meticulous order and "Established" professionalism.

Outcome: Lace & Letters now operates with a formidable, high-end brand presence that perfectly bridges the gap between old-world craft and modern service. By trading generic stationery tropes for a cohesive identity rooted in preservation, the business is positioned as the go-to studio for clients who value their history. The brand successfully communicates a "Seal of Quality," ensuring that every letter and memory is treated with the precision and wealth of time it deserves.
